Dog Owners. Trulia User. Resident 1y ago. Very quiet and beautiful area with lots of fun things to do. Some streets are small and only have one lane in each direction, so those can really back up. Dogs are outside on walks with their humans all the time. Dog park in town, and some restaurants have paws on the patio! Other than that We are close to everything. I live near a park that is good for walking and exercising.
There is fireworks display at the park in the summertime on the 4th of July and I can sit and watch it right outside my front door. I am also close enough to walk to the library and the Square. We had bag to clean after dogs in my apartment complex. Town square is close by and offers lot of community events. When doing errands it is easy to travel around town and other nearby towns. Farmers market often in the summer and a very friendly community. Good schools and public library.
Good solid family oriented community built on grass roots. Plenty to eat and drink along the charming downtown square. Public transportation is close and reliable, for that weekend trip to the big city. Safe and secure neighborhoods give you your option on what part of town you want to be. Wether it is spring, summer, fall or winter there is always something to do and experience in Woodstock. There is the farmers market twice a week.
Also for entertainment, there is the Historic Woodstock Square where there is some great Bars and Restaurants, a Movie Theater, the Opera House and a frozen yogurt place for those hot summer days or simply a sweet treat!
